Channel Academy

During a business review with the Storage Division of a leading IT Manufacturer, we identified that their growth aspirations were likely to be impacted by the scarcity of accredited and experienced Implementation Consultants. Demuto needed to take progressive approach to solving this problem – a conventional recruitment solution was not an option as the required skills set was in such short supply!

We visited several Universities with a proven track record of success in vocational degrees for IT Sciences and conducted a series of recruitment boot camps to identify students with high potential as IT Consultants. We also designed training courses to equip a complete novice with the soft skills necessary to be a creditable, customer facing service professional. Alongside this we identified a series of vendor based training programmes that would give them the relevant technical skills and accreditations.

Upon graduation from University we recruited 10 students into our Technical Academy and over a 10 week period our Programme Manager guided them through the bespoke training that we had designed.

Those who succeeded were then offered to Channel Partners as new recruits thereby augmenting the talent pool with fresh resources and reducing the cost of recruitment and employment. Seven out of the 10 were placed into the channel and many are still with the same company several years later
